I'm new to Turkey frying, but after cooking and 'fighting' to cut a whole fried Turkey. I'm thinking, except for the sake of presentation, why isn't the Turkey simply cooked as individual pieces and then served after cutting into smaller portions?

The only problem I found with this fryer is IT DIDN'T WORK- WE had problems with it last year but finally got it to work- it has been used once-last year- this year nothing!! none of the troubleshooting methods worked and none of the Rube Goldberg fix-it ideas read from other reviews by suckers who also found themselves stuck with a $100 lemon-

I enjoyed being able to fry a turkey indoors. Seems safer too. Came out great. The power cable is magnetic and comes off constantly though. Keep it close to the outlet if you have the counter space but it’s a short cable too.

Bought one from Walmart this year.
    Broken out of the box.
    Would not turn on.
Likely the completely unneeded safety switch is defective. Spent quite a bit of time and effort trying to troubleshoot it.
Everything in the area closed for Thanksgiving so no exchange possible and had to put it in the oven.
    Thanks.

John, I don't know if I have a problem or not. My Butterball XL fryer is set to 375F and it says it's up to temp but when I use a Thermopen instant read it says it's only 365F. Should I be concerned?

I just bought mine … The skin isn't crispy..not happy with it..the top is not covered with oil and I filled to Max line..I saw yours on this video and it was the same the breast sticking out of the oil..wouldn't recommend it for Turkey frying at all…and that's why I bought it 😢
